Free Voice Calling on Whatsapp | Whatsapp is testing a new feature to compete with other social media messenger apps

Whatsapp has reportedly started to test its new feature 'Voice Calling' for free. Some users are reporting they have received a new update from Whatsapp and are now able to make a free call to their freinds and/or relatives having a Whatsapp account.

Hike Messenger started free voice calling feature on their app, Whatsapp also started the process to include new feature to their arsenal. And last year their CEO, Jan Koum, confirmed that his team may bring a voice calling feature to their app very soon. Since then this is a really solid move from Whatsapp development team in the direction of adding this feature to the Whatsapp.

This new feature is added in the app version 2.11.508, which right now is not available through Google Play Store officially but is available on Whatsapp official webpage. Link to the download page is given below.

Free Voice Calling feature on Whatsapp | shared by a redit user

A Redit user, Pradnesh07 posted on his wall about this new update and also posted some pics, shown above. According to this user, who claims to receive this feature, voice calling is an invite-only thing. A person with the call feature should call to the person who wants this cool feature, for now at least. An official confirm yet has to come.
